In plain English: Sitetals.com is an independent technical service that reviews publicly visible website content. It flags potential compliance issues — it does not provide legal advice, and a flagged issue does not mean you will be fined. Always consult a qualified lawyer before acting on our findings.

Nature of the Service

Sitetals.com is an independent compliance research service. We review publicly accessible aspects of websites against known requirements under French, German and Singapore law, including GDPR/RGPD, CNIL guidelines, LCEN, TTDSG, PDPA and related regulations.

We are not a regulatory authority, law firm, or legal advisory service. Our findings are based on technical analysis of publicly accessible data only.

Not Legal Advice

Nothing on Sitetals.com constitutes legal advice. Our compliance reports are informational tools designed to help you identify potential issues — they are not a substitute for qualified legal counsel.

Regulatory requirements are complex, frequently updated, and subject to interpretation by competent authorities and courts. A scan result — whether compliant or non-compliant — is not a legal opinion.

No Affiliation with Regulatory Bodies

Sitetals.com is entirely independent and has no affiliation with:

Scope and Limitations

A scan result showing no issues does not guarantee your website is fully compliant with all applicable laws.

Accuracy of Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep our compliance checks current with regulatory developments. However, laws and regulatory guidance change frequently. We do not guarantee that our analysis reflects the most current regulatory position at the time you use the Service.

Third-Party Content

Our articles and guides contain references to third-party laws, regulatory decisions, and public sources. We provide these for informational purposes and do not warrant their ongoing accuracy.

Liability Limitation

Sitetals.com accepts no liability for decisions made based on our scan results or content. Any compliance action you take based on our Service is your sole responsibility. We strongly recommend obtaining independent legal advice before making material changes to your website's legal structure.

Legal Defense Notice — German / Deutsch. English translation follows below.

Legal Defense Notice — English Translation

1. Contact Options and ECJ Jurisprudence

We ensure rapid, direct, and effective communication with our users primarily via our electronic contact form and email. We expressly rely on the current jurisprudence of the European Court of Justice (ECJ, judgment of 10 July 2019, Case C-649/17). The ECJ has clarified that the mandatory provision of a telephone number is waived if the user is provided with other electronic contact options (such as a contact form) that enable rapid contact and direct communication. Our setup fully meets these requirements.

2. Notice Regarding Unjustified Cease-and-Desist Letters

We strive to operate this website in full legal compliance. Should you believe that a violation of competition or information law exists, we kindly ask you to contact us in advance to avoid unnecessary legal disputes and costs.

We hereby give prior notice that cease-and-desist letters which, contrary to the clear ECJ jurisprudence (C-649/17), object to the non-provision of a telephone number or are based on other technically obsolete formalities, will be regarded as abusive within the meaning of Section 8(4) of the German Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG). In the event of such unjustified or abusive cease-and-desist letters, we will file an Action for Declaratory Judgment (Negative Feststellungsklage) without prior notice and claim the resulting legal and court costs, as well as any further damages, from the issuing party.
